Some of my friends were a part of this, and now that some douche bag leaked their work, they decided to release it publicly (they were waiting for the release of the slim).
Anyway, they reversed the magic battery so now you can boot any PSP into factory mode. Basically what this means is that you can reflash the firmware of any PSP, regardless of its current firmware or brick status.
