Disgusting. But the kid is huge, so eh.
That IS disgusting
He could kick my ass in real life, but since this is a forum, I'll say it. That's disgusting.
They look like action figures in the first picture.
Who'd buy an action figure that looks like the third one? :P
that 3rd guy DEFINITELY looks ill/disgusting/sick/hideous
Is there some reason that bodybuilders are always shiny? Do they just like to be greased?

They put shit on them to make them shiny/tighten up their skin before they go to show themselves off.
More definition too.

That is what I meant by "show themselves off" :D

It makes their muscles easier to see or something like that.
They use to do it to slaves.
From my experience with painting, you don't have to be shiny for definition, you just have to make sure that the low areas are darker and the light areas are lighter. A thin dark-brown paint and a white drybrush should take care of everything! :)

yeah they always use oils and junk to show their definition and they also use rub on tan to make themselves look bronze and junk. in real life he doesn't actually look that gross. he surprisingly looks normal

.
the oils are used to reflect the light so the contestants can show every curve and bump. and it gives a statue type feel
Right, much like the way that the light and shadow is done with this guy (assuming the site allows hotlinking):

<edit> By the way, it was totally intentional that I picked that ugly looking miniature. :)
