Title: The Dethalbum!
Post by: Camel on September 29, 2007, 03:21:20 AM
If you've ever seen the show Metalocalypse on Adult Swim, go download The Dethalbum.

It's so metal, you'll suffer even while it's downloading!

I grabbed a copy with voiceovers. I was not happy so I deleted it. :(

Pretty entertaining. Some decent music in there, too. One thing I like about the music is each instrument's tone. He really pulls off the programmed drum thing well.

Gene Hoglan (Death, Dark Angel, Testament....) plays all the drums on this album.

Oh. Well, one of my friends completely bullshitted me, then. That's cool.

This is quite a bit out of Hoglan's drumming style. np: Dark Angel - Burning of Sodom.

I believe the voice is from a box; everything else is genuine.

Many years ago today something grew inside of your mother. That thing was you.

[edit] Favorite song is definitely Murmaider. There are no fingerprints 1000 leagues below the sea. There are no solids there, either.

It is Brenden Small's voice, both the growls and the cleanish vocals in like one song.

You talking about Hatredcopter? That's exactly why I think they boxed his voice.

I started watching Metalocalypse a couple nights ago.  It's pretty good.  I laughed pretty hard when I found out Brendan Small was the one behind it.  :)

It doesn't really sound like they used any effects on the vocals. They might be pitch shifted a little, but I doubt it.

No one's voice is that low - unless they gargle with acid and razor blades daily.

I can do a death-metal style voice, just I can't complete a sentence if it's over four words, which, usually works fine for cursing at people.
