Title: Any of you oldschoolers coming back for WotLK
Post by: ZeroX on October 09, 2007, 12:33:19 pm
If you havent read up on it yet, I suggest you do so. Should be alot different and in most cases better then BC.

I'll be playing the second expansion, that's for sure. Destroyable terrain and buildings in battlegrounds?! I'm there.

Each expansion added will only make the game worse. I've been in the top 0.1% three times now (rerolled about two months before BC and got back up due to my huge amounts of transfered dkp), and I've decided to retire before everyone is leveled off once again. It's stupid and not really all that fun anymore -- EVERYTHING you achieve is now the result of a grind and nothing more. Illidan is a fucking joke right now, the only difficult aspect to him was -- you guessed it -- grinding the mats for the shadow resist set for a boss before him. Kel'Thuzad was a challenge. It took skilled players in your raid and high amounts of coordination on several different aspects all at once. Arena gear is somewhat skill based, but even the most terrible 12 year old with downs will eventually get the gear long before the next season is released with the amount that they're spaced out currently. The game's too dumbed down and won't ever be as fun as it was pre-BC. While WoW has set MMO records, I highly doubt it'll surpass the trend of starting to die off a bit after a few expansions; granted that's a couple years off.

You never know, they could somehow breathe life into it still. Something innovative could set it off again.

Yeah, but... what's better right now?

Yeah, but... what's better right now?

Having more than five non-raid dungeons between 60-70 versus the five 50-60.

You have no opinions. Get to 70, Do kara, and then make your assumptions  :-*

Hi, my name is Zero and I have no Kara loot.  I'm in blues and PvP epics, thanks.

PvP gear much? If I were to swap out for my tanking set you're pants would need changing.

I clear Karazhan every week and I can say it might get boring, but it's less boring then level 60 raid content was.  :)

Naxxaramas was better then Black Temple, Karazhan isn't even on the same level as either one. Karazhan is better then Molten Core perhaps fun-wise, although I'd say MC was pretty fun back when most people weren't even 60. We were 11th to kill Ragnaros worldwide, and it was pretty damn fun back then.

And I've run Kara a few times to cover her not making a raid.

You're right, they're not on the same level. They weren't meant to be either. Karazhan is only a 10 man.

The 10 mans are alot funnier IMO. 40s were a little too much espically for the 3-4 pecies of loot that each boss droped. At least in kara which is alot easier then MC back then the loot is pretty much need before greed. ZA should be a good edition.

agreed. they've needed a new 10 man for awhile. 40 mans were too impractical, which is why there's no more, most likely. i'm trying to get to 70 asap on my warrior, get some karazhan loot and check out ZA.

Isn't there going to be a Heroric of MC and BWL?

Also, Naxxramas is being moved to Northrend in the new expansion, although in what aspect it'll reappear, I don't know. I'm guessing a 40-man level 80 dungeon, though.

No Heroic Old Content. Naxx is going to be a 20 Man.
