Title: Damn monitor
Post by: CrAz3D on October 15, 2007, 01:06:09 AM
It seems as though items on my screen have somewhat if a blur, like a wind blast effect in photoshop coming in from the left.
HP w2207

Spose I need to look up issues/fixes/or just send it in :(

Are you sure it's not a driver issue? Is the wind effect happening all over the whole screen, or just part of it?

It sounds to me like there's something physically wrong with the monitor.  In the hundreds of computers I've overseen, I don't think I've ever not seen the default drivers work just fine.

Crazed, most newer monitors have an "auto adjust" feature.  I assume you've tried this?

I have tried auto adjust, the little thing that displays on the monitor looks fine.  Once I'm not lazy I'll go plug my laptop into it and see what happens

You really should have mentioned that.  That alone would have changed any reasonably computer-literate person's opinion on the problem.

Can you take a picture of it?

hmm...as I type this it appears that my monitor looks fine....:-\

not so much on the wind effect..............................................
back to my PC to see and take a picture I guess

edit:
after plugging into my laptop and then back into my PC I had to re-adjust settings, seems to look fine now.  I'll leave it on a while and see if anything happens

Monitor has been on a while now, doing that wind thing again.....don't think I can take a picture that'll show it well enough, though
