Awesome!
Even though your subject is totally retarded.
Not so awesome. It gives people more reason to burn the book. Also, it doesn't come across in the story so it's just her doing it out of the blue with no real relevance.

Some people have serious issues. "OMG It's discussing something that the church says I shouldn't be comfortable with! Run!!!!"

Well, now it's against humanity, not religion.

I still don't understand why people doing something that doesn't conform with your narrow view of society is "against humanity". But really, I'm sick of discussing it, so I'm not going to continue this.
Yay! You surrender!
Yes, in the sense that I've given up on the possibility that you might see reason.

This doesn't bug me at all. As far as I'm concerned, she basically ruined Dumbledore in the seventh book.

Please, PLEASE post SOME kind of discussion, SOMETHING AT ALL. If I just wanted the news I could go to cnn.com myself.
But if you go to CNN you find biased headlines, much unlike what titles I give article.

You don't find this revelation of a fictitious character worthy of a discussion based on its own merits? Why not? Seriously, Hogwarts had a gay headmaster. Who knows how many young wizards he taught how to rape unsuspecting muggles at night? I'd estimate at least 100%.
What an idiotic thing to do. I hope J K Rowling looses her billions and if forced to be homeless again. The bitch can't avoid attention!
Considering it isn't relevant to the story, this is stupid of her to do. I just don't understand, unless she's that desperate for publicity that she'll take negative publicity.
According to the site, the response has been positive. That's likely because in Europe, homosexuality is relatively acceptable.
I think it's a problem with anyone who thinks this is "negative publicity". Sure it's fun to make jokes, but at the end of the day it's obvious the country that preaches itself as "One From Many" and "All Men Created Equal" is probably the most intolerant of them all.
Who cares if a fucking fictional character in a damn book is gay? Is he going to jump out of the pages and hurt you? Is he going to scar your child for life?
Viewing this as a negative thing is stupid.

Craz3d, just because you (suck and) believe in the old southern-american way of life, doesn't mean that being gay is wrong.
This was an excellent decision of hers, and a positive stride forward for the gay community.
Remember Turing.

It's against humanity. Of course it's wrong. But it's a choice against humanity so we should accept it. But it's still wrong.

It's not against humanity any more than microwave burritos are against humanity.
Really, it's just against the Church, which wants to keep the world patriarchal, so any man that exhibits feminine traits is a threat to their power. It's all a form of brainwashing to justify their own existance, really.

Obviously, since the words "homosexual" and "rapist" are synonymous.
My post and Blaze's response to it weren't serious. :-\

I don't know what synonymous means, but those words sure do mean basically the same thing

Welcome to the redundant department of redundancy.
And incidentally, that is bordering trolling/flamebaiting. Knock it off.

It shows how Christians views gays, if you can't understand how that relates to a topic talking about gays then I'm sorry theres no hope for you.

I hope you realize how ridiculous of a generalization that is.
I'm not personally offended by that, but I have never met a Christian in my life that has those sorts of views on gays. Most of them believe that homosexuality is a sin, but they are not nearly that radical about it.

Have I been breathing in too many fumes today (I've been cleaning my apartment...), or are people being assholes?
All I saw there was a photoalbum. I looked at a few random photos, and they were people holding anti-gay signs.
Perhaps they used Javascript to put up a description of the site, or something, because I don't see one!
They believe God kills soldiers because we accept homosexuality
It all makes sense now! This is why he let Harry have the password to his office, so he could come by for a "talk' anytime! And the invisibility cloak, so that people wouldn't ask where he was wandering off too! I can't believe I didn't see it before!

Oops I didn't mean to word it like that, I meant to point out how extreme some christians go. I mean these people protested at a women's funeral... Personally that is going way too far.
Oh and iago don't take that too seriously k <3

Like I said, I didn't take offense to it (I don't consider myself Christian). That group is crazy, though, and I think that most Christians would agree with that.
