Post by: Newby on October 25, 2007, 08:31:50 PM

I didn't look at it at all. I don't know much about building computers.

Passing it on here. Please comment & critique. The price seems like he's missing something, which I'd almost swear he is.

Yea he needs RAM. Also if that processor doesn't have onboard sound support he needs a sound card too.

He's getting a CD-Rom Drive AND a DVD-Rom Drive?  Why not spend the extra $4 and get two DVD-Rom drives if he needs two?

The fact that he's doing that makes me think he's trying to replicate his current computer. Heh.

You were incorrectly typing "processor" in place of "motherboard"

Processors do not have onboard sound.

Happy to help.

Consumer processors don't. I've used a processors that does, and I know there are more.

Get a sound card anyway. Integrated sound blows.

Knowing your brother, he's probably going to want the availability of easy recording/midi. I'd suggest a sound card that supports both.
