Say, hypothetically, my friend wants to give me his 70 Druid. I want to transfer that Druid to MY account. From my understanding, for the transfer to be approved, the accounts must have the same first and last name (Blizzard doesn't even allow transferring between family either). Is there a loophole to this? Any way I can find a way around this? ???

Druids are FTW.
And no, I don't know what to tell you.
Looks like you'll have two accounts :P
Change your name?
Boo. I don't want to pay for two accounts.
@Towelie: Your first and last name are SOULBOUND. You can't change it.
Call Blizzard and tell them you and your friend are entering a domestic partnership and that he's taking your last name. :D

You can't change the name linked to the account? I didn't even know you needed to in the first place.

You need to fax official documents supporting this, then. Trust me. :P
My account name is registered to Carmen Sandiego, and is set to such so I could change it at a later date if I needed to.

By "tell" them, I meant really do it. :)

Not just any game!
Seriously, though, I was just kidding around. :P
Thirty more days until I can transfer my character to Maelstrom, or any other server. Maelstrom sounds interesting, though. :P
I thought you could transfer characters between accounts just fine. They cracked down on this?

you can, as long as the personal info matches on both. obviously they dont want people selling, or trading their accounts. not only is it anti-cheating, it's also anti-theft.
