I don't think it's worth raising the meter, but I did write a story about it (http://www.zombiemeter.org/index.php?subaction=view&story_id=78).

We're one step closer to the Zombie Apocalypse!
Are they really zombies, though? I didn't think zombiism was something we could cure.

It's classic, Haitian, Voodoo-style zombies, not Romero ones. They're completely different and distinct (mainly, Voodoo-style zombies aren't dead)
Actually, Voodoo style zombies CAN be dead, they just typically aren't
Well, from all the sources I've seen (everything from The Serpent and the Rainbow to White Zombie to The King of the Zombies), voodoo zombies are people that have been given a drug that simulates the appearance of death for a brief period (a few hours to a few days). I can't offhand think of any where the zombie is actually dead, although I could be missing something.
There was a guy who was dead for a while (like...a few months) and then resumed living. I forget the details, but I do remember seeing it on the Discovery Channel's show about zombies. Also, another form of Voodoo zombie is basically a lobotomized person who is used as cheap/slave labor.

I remember watching something on Discovery about that a while back, too.
That is pretty awesome. :D
