That second guy sounds like an idiot, even if he is just making fun. I mean, who's so lazy that they type "n" instead of "and"?

The fun way to find a keylogger is to search "search inside files" and type "askjksladjflqwjerljsdf324jsj03jfaklj" -- if there is a keylogger, it'll find that file because you just typed it. :)

Haha!  I suppose that would only work if they were storing the logs in plain text, though.  I'd imagine there are quite a few that send emails, upload them, store in databases, etc.

True, but it's unlikely that they send the data after every keystroke. Granted, they might store them in memory, but at least some store them in plaintext. :)

Yeah, I was assuming they were storing buffers in memory there.  :)

I have direct experience with one keylogger on my dad's computer, and it stored it in plaintext files named after the window's title. So when I think of how a keylogger works, that's the one I think of. :)
