Can I use just any random micro SD card I find on Newegg?
My dad just got a Voyager and for Christmas my sis and I are going to get him headphones/memory so he can listen to his music on his phone.
You should be able to, yes.
You can get a 2gb Sandisk MicroSD card on Amazon.com (it's where I got 2 of mine). They should work, just remember to get the right one (Micro, not Mini).
Yeah, I found a Kingston 2gb micro on NewEgg for $19.99 w/free 3 day shipping and a $3 mail-in rebate. It also has the adapters I do believe. Nice.
Verizon wanted $50 for the same thing and $30 for a 1gb card. Such anal rapage going on there, it saddens me
I read something about how 4GB+ cards use like MicroSDHC or something which most newer devices support but maybe not older ones... true?
I just know that the phone takes microSD, no mention of the high capacity
Yea, I never seen it mentioned either, but apparently it's different... just wondering if anyone had any experience with them.
Yes, I have a standard MicroSD card that I got on sale during last years Black Friday (iirc). Verizon definitely overcharges on them, but people think that they have to get what Verizon recommends so they pay top dollar. Also it's located in the store which is a big plus.

Damn it, I should've ordered last night!
It's $20.99 w/$5 shipping and $5 mail in rebate.
