Title: Codes Violation: Parking against traffic
Post by: CrAz3D on January 31, 2008, 10:33:18 AM
I swear to God, this is the most bullchit I've seen. What a douche bag. 9:41pm yesterday, what the fuk?!

We're in a damned small little suburb ... what the hell does it matter if someone parks facing traffic?

Most codes violations piss me off. They're mostly just bullchit.

NOTE: I didn't get the notice, room mate did. Not a citation, but still.

Didn't you/he/whoever learn that when you/he/whoever learned how to drive? I've always been aware that you have to park the same way as traffic, so I've always done it. How hard is it to turn around?

Hahah, Newby should lol at this. He was with me once when I parked backwards at my friend's house, and upon leaving in my friend's car, I was informed by his neighbor that I was parked illegally. I said I'd be back in a few, and that I'm not worried about it. Came back ~90 mins later, and he was still standing there, staring at my car, now with another neighbor out on the other side of the street looking at it.

neighbor 1:"If you had left it there for 24 hours, It would have been towed."
neighbor 2: *glare*
me: "Well, I'm in luck, becuase I'm leaving."

I always park backward when it's more convenient. It doesn't cause problems.

That's new stuff around here.  "Codes" are almost all bullshit.  If I want a dead car in my carport then I'll have a dead car in my carport God damn it ... but now the city can ticket you for shit like that.  Retarded if you ask me.

ehhh its not hard to park the same way as traffic. but at our school a cop always parks in the fire lanes so we should call someone about that.

It's not hard, no, but it's easier to park facing the other way instead of doing an illegal uturn or driving in a large circle around the block.

Either way, it should be illegal

You're allowed to do a U-Turn anywhere in Canada (on two-way roads, that is.  :P), unless there is a sign disallowing it, which you pretty much never see.
