Incidentally, whoever disabled the flash bbcode tag should whitelist youtube, since it's probably safe :P
Five posts down (http://www.x86labs.org/forum/index.php/topic,12275.0.html) :)
It's an awesome video, though, and probably deserves two posts.

There's no easy way to whitelist sites, flash is either on or off.
I turned it off due to the widespread exploitation of Flash vulnerabilities in the wild, coupled with the fact that some spambot posted a bunch of Flash videos on the site a few days ago. I figured that whole thing was an issue waiting to happen.
(Not to mention that people could use Flash to steal cookies and PM them to themselves.. Flash is just an accident waiting to happen)
Besides, clicking the link isn't terribly difficult, I can live without embedded flash everywhere.

I was pretty sure those were jpegs that looked like youtube dialogs..
To be honest, I don't really like playing embedded media on message boards. I usually try to navigate to the content's natural location if it's something I'm familiar with (youtube is a good example). It's nice to see it in its native environment. Reading the comments, video description, etc is sometimes nice. :)
Haha, I posted this before I finished reading the board ^_^

You and I must have different ideas about how much company time should be spent on non-company issues. :)
I tend to actively find a way to hack my forums to do whatever I want when a mod doesn't already exist. In this case, I might consider something like (obviously undesired from the replies) a regex that turns a youtube.com/watch url in to an html embed of that flash video.

[edit] come to think of it, just watch every video on weezer's channel - they're all pretty funny
