.... but he took his family with him.
So so-called "Spam King", Eddie Davidson (http://www.spamhaus.org/rokso/listing.lasso?-op=cn&spammer=Eddie%20Davidson), recently escaped from jail (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/07/22/convicted_spammer_escapes/).
Days later, he was found dead, but took his family with him (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/07/25/fugitive_spammer_slays_family/)! Yikes! Besides killing himself, he murdered his wife and three-year-old daughter!
On a sidenote, the Inquirer thinks it's a good thing (http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/07/24/escaped-spammer-kills-himself). To me, there's no way killing two innocent people can be a good thing.
It sounds like you're saying the guy who wrote the article is happy his family died? That's pretty clearly not the case.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of other spammers that have not yet committed suicide.

He couldn't even finish his less than two year sentence? Wow.
I think it's more like, the $750,000 debt he had. That's basically debt for the rest of your life.
Unless you're making a good deal of money spamming.

The government takes away money used or collected from illegal deeds. Lame, imo.

I thought that was the point of the forfeiture, to get back the money he made illegally.
