WARNING: VERY VERY VERY graphic
NSFW much?
I unno, that's why I said very very very graphic
These images have to be seen. It shows how barbaric wars really are.
This is a war which should never have occured.
Russia is technically the aggressor being that they invaded a sovereign nation. However, Georgia is also the foothold of US propaganda in Eastern Europe.
Considering that McCain's political advisor is a lobbyist for the Georgian Government, I don't doubt for a second the deep lines of corruption with the current Administration, and the McCain campaign.
This entire thing stinks.
Russia was just defending S Ossetia
That's what I've gotten out of the entire thing as well, however they did respond a tad too harshly. They may be using this as a scapegoat to send a definitive message of their dislike for the west.
I would like to believe Russia is correct, but it seems that both side have some blame for the situation.

It seems like western news organizations are the only ones portraying it that way. I'll defer pointing fingers until the facts are more clear :)
Who the hell picks a fight with a superpower like Russia? Dumbasses.

Are you saying that Georgia is the aggressor? Did Georgia invade Russia? I forget which Country occupies which country.
Come on man, it may not be Russia's
fault, but they are the aggressors for crossing international borders. It's a term, nothing more.
I believe that Georgians made a mess over S. Ossetia and Russia defended it albeit very harshly. Russia is still the aggressor for invading a country, but it is on valid reasoning. At least it would seem so.

Someone who is all too used to the idea of having America as an unconditional ally.

Unless S Ossetia has an agreement/understanding with Russia that Russia will help it out.

No, I'm saying that there's empirical evidence that some of the "facts" presented by western media were made up.
