k I watched the season finale a little while ago and I'm too lazy to look things up, but am I correct in remembering that Thirteen tested positive for Huntington's?
I remember a sheet of blood diseases that she was holding at the end of the finale, and all of them were black except one, the line for Huntington's, which was red. So this of course suggests she has it.
Which season finale? I remember that, and I'm only in the middle of the 4th season.
Season 4s season finale.
The only season finale that would include 13 ;)
mm... 13. :)
Yeah, she probably has it since her name is 13 :P I think it's pretty clear that she tested positive for it, but wanted a good segue into the thread. The only way they could make her not have it would be a false positive, which would make for a lame storyline.
I looked up the specifics of the disease on wikipedia, and apparently it can have an onset as late as 40-70, depending on the number of CAG repeats in the Huntington's gene (the more repeats, the worse off you are). So I think the show can make a reasonable argument for keeping her as a doctor on House's staff.
That being so, she will definitely provide a new emotional window on the show. Also I think she may be a candidate for dating House, as they are both ailing from illnesses (House's being the chronic pain in his leg). They may very likely start introducing women into House's life this coming season. I think it would be hilarious to see him on dates.
By the way, for those of you who have only watched Season 4, I think it would be a good idea to watch select episodes in previous seasons. There's a lot of cool backstory that makes the current episodes even more enjoyable. If you don't care too much about "spoiling," probably a good idea to watch season premieres and finales, a total of 6 episodes. If not all 6 then some of them.
I've watched episodes 21-23 on TV this past week, i.e. the season 1 finales and the season 2 premiere, and they were very good.
Hm, a significant disappointment for me in Season 4 is that, from the few episodes of previous seasons that I have watched, House's old staff seem to be way cooler than his new staff =/

Yeah, I'd have to agree, with the exception of 13. 13 is pretty awesome. At least they're all still there in smaller doses, though.
Cameron is cooler than 13, IMO. 13 is too detached, whereas Cameron is very open with her feelings.
After House, my next-favorite characters on the show are probably Wilson and Cameron. I love when Wilson says "we could build monuments to your self-centeredness." The inflection makes it hilarious.

Agreed. 13 still has the coolest personality out of Taub and Kumar, though. :)

Yeah, but Taub and Kumar are kind of boring. The whole "Taub cheating on his wife thing" is pretty stupid. And we don't really know anything about Kumar.
Foreman and Chase are cool though. It's funny how House really gets under Foreman's skin, and on the contrary, how Chase has a peculiar flavor of fortitude and indifference towards House's tactics. Chase swears at House under his breath, but at the end of the day House isn't on his mind.
13 is hot.
I like how Foreman got his medical training on ER :P
Maybe I've seen more of season 4 than I realize? I'll have to keep watching...
new season of House is on now
It was pretty good. :)
:O
Missed it. I'll have to torrent...
dude i fell asleep watching it :( and when it ended i woke up WTF. i missed about the last half
Awesome episode. The ending was kind of expected from the first four seasons, but it was amazing how they acted it out.

When I was living in the Fraternity house, we'd use a random number generator to decide which episode to watch, and sponsor Foreman suggesting cancer, or when anyone rebutted with "it's not a tooumaa!"

Spoilers please. :)
SPOILERS!Wilson leaves the hospital, initially claiming it's due to remembering Amber too much. End of episode, House apologizes, even though he didn't kill her. Wilson says he doesn't blame him. House asks if they're okay. Wilson says "No" and that he was protecting him from the truth. Wilson's leaving the hospital because of House, after finally having had enough of their "friendship". The lines I distinctly remember are:
"You spread misery because you can't feel anything else. You manipulate people because you can't handle any kind of real relationship."
"If I've learned anything from Amber, it's that I have to take care of myself. We're not friends anymore, House. I'm not sure we ever were."
I think deadly has lupus. Take a skin biopsy to confirm the diagnosis and then start him on steroids.
LUMBAR PUNCTURE
Yeah, that kind of annoys me. At least 80% of the episodes someone says "It's Lupus!" and it never is. One of these days, just to fuck with us, nobody will suggest Lupus and then it will actually BE Lupus.

I'm stepping out on a limb here, but for some reason I remember there being an episode where everyone was surprised at the end because it *was* lupus. It may've been some sort of spoof I watched, though. I saw Season 4 completely out of order, so I keep getting it and everything else mixed up. ::)

Lupus was the actual cause twice.
The season premiere was great. The acting is always awesome but they really aced this one. Though it sucks that Wilson may leave =/
Maybe they will replace him with Cameron....

I highly doubt he'll leave for good--he's still scheduled to be in the next couple episodes, at the least.

Shut up.....she's hot :\
I like Wilson, but I have no problem with trimming the main character pool down a little :)
I'm just glad cut-throat bitch is dead. OR IS SHE?? :O
Worst case, Wilson will be a phone call away. I don't believe for a second that their friendship is really over.

I basically thought the same thing. Nice to know that the tension was really just some fun and mix-ups in the episodes, though, eh? I LOVED Tuesday's show (just watched it). =D
Yeah haha I loved the last episode. Awesome. Epic. Wilson is BACK!
The writers for House really are amazing. (I think I'm speaking for everyone when I say that.)
Anyone watch Burn Notice? :P

I knew he would. XD I love the way they did it, though. This show never ceases to surprise me, even after it seems like I've got everything figured out.

I pretty much predicted exactly how it happened once I heard the bottle story. Haha. It was really amusing, and totally obvious imo. =D
Yeah, last week's episode was really awesome in my opinion. I was more disappointed with Fringe that week. :(

Pffff! I did catch that Cutty was drugging him to go to his dad's funeral before he passed out, though. But, there were a lot of things thrown into the episode (well, the whole series really) that threw me off guard. I <3 House. I've loved that actor ever since he was in Jeeves and Wooster. ^^
Hugh Laurie is pretty amazing.

I agree. Even if you remove the best 30 second intro any show has ever aired, it was still a badass episode.
Her name is Haddey?
Hadley?
