Gr. Season Premier basically....well....it raped the entire story from about halfway through the first season. It was extremely annoying. But on the flip side, now there's a whole new apocalypse to avert. From what they've shown of it, it looks like the Langoliers (Stephen King novel/TV movie).
WARNING BIG SPOILERS
Things I disliked:
- Ignoring the entire plot of season 2. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED WITH THE DISEASE???
- Nikki's new role, seems like they try too hard to keep her in the story (same with Parkman and Mrs. Petrelli to an extent)
- No reapparance of mika (yet)
- No mention of Adam (yet)
- The odd decision to give everyone and their mom a power now (I can deal with it, just strange)
Things I liked
- El's role, I don't think she will be "out" anytime soon
- Mojinder's new role
- new plot's direction
- Linderman's return
- Chaandra not returning
Overall I liked it, I just remember my criticisms better :)
Suresh sucks. He's turning into the Hunchback of Notre Dame or something. Adam was in Mrs. Petrelli's dream standing next to Nikki. And yeah, I do agree they are trying too hard to keep her in. But Mrs. Petrelli is one of the founders of the Company, so she's not going anywhere for a while. What I didn't like was Elle's dad's power. He was King Midas and they only mentioned it after his death, which was lame (stupid power anyway).
The only reason it seems like everybody has a power is because the show isn't about the 6.5 billion other powerless people :P

The biggest question I have is: if Peter gets close enough to Sylar, does he get all the powers Sylar has?

They demonstrated this power already last season when he was persuading Mojinder to work for him. I didn't really care either way about him dieing.

Psh, Nikki and Bennet both had big roles with no powers (unless you consider multiple personalities a power...)

Peter and Sylar have already had encounters and he has not picked up his powers. It's possible that Peter picked up his original power of gaining people's powers that he kills/disects/whatever Sylar does, but this would be a redundant power.
I didn't get to see the premiere. Suck. :( Did Peter's girlfriend ever reappear, or is she another forgotten aspect of the storyline? That's the thing that pissed me off the most.
