Title: The Killers
Post by: Ender on November 09, 2008, 12:53:21 AM
Anyone listen to them? They're really good. At first I had a case of "pop prejudice" and didn't think they could be that good... but they are!

Of course, I didn't just find out about them; I've known about them for a while now. But I never really got into them until recently, even though I liked what I heard way back when.

The music video for Mr. Brightside is brilliant. It's like, "punk meets class". If you haven't seen it you should check it out on YouTube.

They're pretty good.  "When You Were Young" is an amazing song.

Hm, I haven't really gotten into that yet. My favorites right now are probably Mr. Brightside, All These Things that I've Done, Human, and Somebody Told Me. Maybe I should listen to that song more =)

Any other songs of theirs that people really like? I'm trying to find good ones that I haven't heard before.

They have a song in GH3, I believe, the one Sidoh mentioned earlier.

Somebody Told Me
that you had a boyfriend
That looked like the girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It's not confidential
I've got potential

Unlike you, I made no claims as to not having taken them from the song. =p

I was lucky enough to see the killers perform in london when I was there a few years back, they really are quite a sight to see live. As far as their previous albums go they're all really well written and composed. Kind of a unique band the way they compose themselves and play.

I cited (inappropriately) the newspaper. Also, the fact that it was lyrics from a song was fairly clear, as one cannot "with my mind on my money and my money on my mind," since it is not a verb, and does not contain a verb. The same goes for "laid back," unless you're capable of laid backing.

It contains helper verbs. ;) And laid is a verb.. just not in the proper tense.
