Title: Network access problems
Post by: CrAz3D on June 09, 2009, 12:47:07 PM
Situation:

2 PCs @ work, connected via qwest router.  I have sharing enabled so we can access docs back & forth.  Both on WinXP

There are two folders on the main PC that are used for work.  One is C:\Data, the other is "My Documents."

C:\Data is shared FINE AND DANDY.  However, My Docs isnt so nice.  I can access older, not recently used files, but otherwise I receive the following error: "This document ___ is in use or marked as read-only.  You may edit the doc, but must save it with a new name.  Continue?"

Click OK -> "Access denied.  You do not have rights to do this."

1) Doc isnt in use
2) I've unmarked readonly for doc, folders, etc ... no success.  Every time I check out properties again, its marked as read only

Thoughts?
