Yeah. We decided it was a good idea to restructure the forums in an attempt to shrink vertical space and keep activity less spread out.
If you find something missing, bugged out, or would like to comment on the recent moves, feel free.
If you're curious to the details of the move, read me for details. (http://newby.dont.backstab.us/misc/finishedcleanup.pdf)
Politics forum should be a subboard of Entertainment District.
Other than that, I like it.
Your face should be a sub board of Getting Kicked.
Joe should be killed.
Re-split WoW from Battle.net. The topics may be similar, but the groups of people who are interested in them are distinct.

And re-split programming from both. My original request, paraphrased, was to have Battle.net programming expanded to WoW programming.

Agreed.
You can't just re-split forums! :P
Also, it's not like the Bot stuff is really active. Nobody here really works on bots anymore. I'd say if anything, do away with bots altogether, and tell people to use General Programming.
Maybe you're missing the point? I was subscribed to botdev, while I refuse to even read WoW posts.
Also, I find it pretty difficult to believe that you wouldn't be able to find a simple way to restore the topics to their original forum; presumably you have a backup of the db, and the forum wasn't even that big...
I have a backup, yes, but restoring that is a fair amount of work. Definitely not worth it for something I don't care about. :)
This is an outrage! Fight the system.

If you made 2^63 posts, the db would presumably run out of PKs (edit: and hard drive space), and then it would be easier for iago to just restore a backup. Might take a while to make the posts, though.
[edit2] 1500th post!
CrAz3d will help.
Ok, here's my counteroffer: I'll restore the database, in full, from the day before we merged the forums.
Its a trap.
It's only bad if you don't mind losing everything that's happened since. :P

Overkill; just bring back the old forum and leave it empty. If anyone really cares they can sort through the posts :P
OK!! I DID IT! The Botdev posts are back where they belong. Now will everybody PLEASE stop YELLING AT ME!? :P
But seriously, I'm pretty sure everything worked. But if I grabbed extra topics or something, let me know and I'll fix it. I stuck it under General Programming now with a quick description. I made Joe the moderator. I didn't touch permissions other than that. Somebody should make sure it's configured correctly. :)
Btw, it took me over an hour to do it. Fortunately, I'm watching a progress bar at work right now and had nothing better to do. :)
You made me moderator of general programming, not botdev. I'll take general programming though, if you don't mind.
Ugh, now we have to find something new to complain about.
SMF2, anyone?

Hmm, I don't think I did. The one I tried (and failed) to give you mod on last night didn't have a moderator already. General Programming had Newby + you as a mod, though.
