Who knew? In Poland, you can be sent to jail for blasphemy. This particular popstar, Doda, is facing two years imprisonment for making fun of the Bible.
Sometimes, the justice system blows my mind.
Blaspheming is also illegal in Ireland.

Religion's killed more people than all terrorists, communists, and fascists (including Hitler) combined. ;)

LOL. Wow, this is ridiculous.
"..not even if he does say Jehovah!"
Wow, she's really hot.
Come to the US, Doda! Here we have freedom of speech :)

I would say a lot of modern day terrorism is pretty strongly linked to religion.

Why do you think we have to listen to all that rap music on the radio?
Everyone has freedom of speech, even poor minorities. Sure, their voices might not be heard, but that's different from freedom of speech. The homeless man standing on the sidewalk can shout as many blasphemous things as he wants. But no one is obliged to pay attention to him. To be heard you have to be interesting, or you need to have a lot of money.
Funny story -- there's a poor black man in downtown Chicago who stands outside of Macy's everyday. When people pass him on the street (and there's always people passing him) he shouts out on a loudspeaker a reason why they are going to hell. "You're going to hell because you're wearing skimpy clothing," he might say to a girl wearing a short skirt. Or "you're going to hell for having sex before marriage," he'd say to a skanky-looking woman. This guy is literally there at least every day during spring and summer. That's freedom of speech in America for you.

White and Jewish aren't mutually exclusive. But, I agree.
Ender, that's why Christians piss me off.

i'm talking about the race, and it was pretty damn obvious given the context.
joe, i find it upsetting that when confronted with an obvious biblical contradiction, you revert to another religion instead of realizing it's all pretty stupid. :(
I didn't change my religion because of an obvious biblical contradiction, but because I couldn't find a single Christian who could give me a straight answer as to which old testament laws still apply, and which should be ignored and why.
To which contradiction were you referring?

so you throw out the parts that are in contradiction instead of throwing out the whole thing...

My favorite is "Thou Shalt Not Kill" and stuff like the Flood, Sodom & Gomorrah, and (my favorite) - Job.

"Thou Shalt Not Kill" is meant for people, not for God.
Of course, the bible makes multiple references to people killing other people, too, so who knows?

Because it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard to have a set of ideals that don't involve a big floaty thing in the sky?

It's okay to kill people for god, or in the name of god[1].

Catholic dogma says God is bound by the laws of the Bible. Therefore, God is not allowed to kill. GG, God.

Well, the fact that the old testament and the new testament disagree, and that there is some ambiguity as to which rules should be thrown out, etc.
