Originally, five or six days ago there was the news clip where this man saved his sister from rape. Next, someone autotuned his voiced and made a song out of it.
Yesterday, myself, my singer, bassist, and producer friend wrote, recorded and mixed quite an epic song for it. It definitely the coolest version yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJJwROocTHQ
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
hahahahahahahahaahah
oh god, that's hilarious man.
lolololol. That is awesome.
You know, when trying to explain the backstory to somebody, I feel like a jerk. This feels like the kind of thing that shouldn't be funny :-/

Oh, I agree that it's hilarious, but also so very wrong. :)
The funny thing is, it sounds like most rap music I hear. That means that either the person who made this clip is very good with sound tools, or most rappers sound like idiots on the news.
I vote the latter.
rofl that was awesome

and Michael Gregory, the Auto-Tune the News guy tweeted about it, "in case you wanted to see a rock version of the bed intruder song --> http://bit.ly/aUzoO4 / i did very badly."
I'm hoping it keeps snowballing.
Congrats on the popularity ;)
Bah, hack Facebook then we'll talk ;)

ROFL! That is hilarious!
A combination of members from Paramore, New Found Glory, and Reliant K just put up a cover of this song today. Ours is wayyyyyyyyy better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H08EXnT0Pz0
Indeed it is.
Sure is. I've been impressed by Hayley Williams' voice in some cases, but I'm often disappointed -- that's the case here too.
But yeah... yours is much, much better. :)
Not impressed with that one. Yours is at the very least 10x better.

Armin, did your band really write this version? I think it's fair to say you have created a meme of your own. :)
hahah, I wish we wrote the original. Last I heard it reached #2 most popular on iTunes. Maybe I should've been more clear, Auto-Tune the News did this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMtZfW2z9dw) first, and we did a cover of the Auto-Tune the News version. So our addition to the song was the vocal harmonies, all the guitar and drum parts, a few song form changes, and our stylizations.
I'm probably biased, but I like our version the best. the one you posted is pretty fucking awesome as well, and is based on the original.

just broke 200,000 views on the original. we did an extended version with a guitar solo for iTunes and radio back in October that was played on a few rock stations across the country. Sold 2,600 downloads so far, and sales per week are still going up. this is my first digital music sales income. :D

Win.
I really dig the guitar work in that; awesome stuff! Glad to see you're making money off it, too! :)
ughhh, I thought this was done...
