Stop it.
What is it? I don't have an account on facebook.
no thnx @ "stop it."
Blaze, it's the Mesilla Valley Linux Users Group's photos of their recent firing range excursion. I guess there is a good number of organized Linux users that also like guns.
I'm sure there are plenty of Linux users who like guns, and plenty who hate them, and even more who have no strong opinions. In fact, I expect those numbers to be roughly proportional to the population at large, and likely linked to where the person lives.

I'd actually disagree. The population of users that use linux is, typically, not at all representative of the population as a whole. From what I've seen geeks fall into one of the two extremes of: "gov't can leave me and my guns alone" or "guns are bad, mmkay?"
Most computer nerds I've never are pretty libertarian-esque.
Most nerds I know, and I go to school with a ton of them, have very strong opinions about stuff.
You guys spend too much time in the US, I suspect. :)
I don't think people here have especially strong opinions about guns.

I bet they would if they were as likely to get shot as someone living here!

People in NM dont really say much about guns 'til someone suggests some sort of ban...then tons of people walk around with guns on (open carry is legal). About 2.5 yrs ago, cops harassed a guy for carrying a gun to a movie (legal). A bit after that, a number of folks started having opencarry BBQs. The idea was to inform the public and the cops of NM laws. It's prtty shitty that the NM cops didnt know the law.

So it sounds like it's the opposite - people there care a great deal.
Some guns are legal here, some aren't. You can carry them with a permit, which is basically for law enforcement/security guards. Lots of people hunt. Nobody really makes a big deal out of things..
Yeah. People in southern NM hold guns "close to their hearts."
