Seriously. Not because it's illegal, but how hard it must have been to get all the data.
Getting into things like that is cool, screw doing shit, just getting in...
Being on the other side is cooler, preventing people from getting in, and dealing with incidents if they happen. It's nice to know that you won't go to jail if you get caught, plus it provides a good and steady income.

I would have to agree. I think the rush of defending against attacks and keeping people out would be much more fun than the other side.

Haha, like I could make a living as a security guy (don't plan to go into computers at all, actually). You cracks me up, yago.
I agree with iago, too. Especially on the legal statement. =)

You can't really say something like that until you've experienced both feelings. ;)

Then, when someone DOES get in, you look like a fool.
Being on both sides is the coolest. :) Plus, I think the adrenaline rush would be pretty cool from either.
A true security specialist would be on both sides in a sense. To catch a criminal you have to think like a criminal, thus giving you the best experiences of both worlds and removing the chance of big bubba time.
I saw on techtv one time there we people talking about their jobs. They worked for companys like google and yahoo and they were supposed to break in, then show how they did it, so they could fix it. It was very neat.
