Title: Anyone used Debian?
Post by: MyndFyre on June 21, 2005, 03:17:56 PM
I've got a DVD image around here that I've been meaning to install; I just haven't gotten around to it yet.  Any thoughts on how it works?

If it's anything like Virtual CD v7, it should be really easy to use. :)

Oh, haha. I'm not very Linux educated. Never heard of "Debian," but since I spotted "DVD image," I assumed it was a virtual CD-drive-like program. :)

I've heard only a few good things about it.

I use it. It's sitting in a laptop with no screen as a webserver.

There is a new one out with an apperently extreamly streamlined installer (Sarge), but when I get back to Wisconsin I need to install from Woody.
