For the record, all my folders are. The specific files, if you know their names, are just fine, however.

File permissions and/or not being in public_html.

Most likely file permissions.

chmod +r wow/

"You're Apache is stupid"? That's like me saying "I'm Apache is stupid".. If you're going to publicly whine (after sending me an Instant Message) about a free service I'm providing, you can at least use proper grammar. And you ought to know I wasn't home all weekend, so I'm obviously not going to fix it right away.

But anyway, I fixed it. I had a nap first.

The problem was that I reinstalled Apache, and, because Apache believes in default secure, it caused 2 problems:
1. By default, user directories are disabled. More secure because the less that's open, the more secure something is
2. Access to ~userwhowantstheirfileshidden and ~nonexistantuser are the same to prevent somebody from enumerating all possible users
But I enabled user directories, and life's good.
