Do I have to take a test or anything?

Yes, the ultimate test of doom. Duh.

Read the announcements forum. You've done you're part now, we do ours and let you know if you're in.

Get to know us (late to say this now..) and be active on the forums (same).

EDIT -
Oops, get two leader approvals then you're ready.

A few questions...

What's your name?
Age?
Sex?
What do you do on computers?
Do you program? If so, languages?
Linux or Windows, or both? (Or mac.)
Are you whitehat or blackhat?
Title: Re: me

Krazed asked me if I was on drugs when I wanted to join.

I'm also trying to join but have never been asked a question like this, from what I've learned you only need to be an active friendly person, not a programmer and regardless of your hacking, OS age or sex.

It's more for curiosity than anything.  Whether or not you program has little impact on my decision, but whether or not you do is part of who you are.

So is your age and sex and that is information you don't need to know for privacy reasons, I know Krazed is just being sarcastic and most of your members are computer literates with some or solid programming skills. I'd imagine this would be very confusing to a member canidate, they assume you need a black belt in hacking to join which is intimidating.

If you have questions to ask a canidate in order to make your approval judgement then I would gladly ask you to submit the questions and I'd anwser them but if certin things do not matter then why ask the question?

Good luck on getting in c0n.

I don't forsee that happening.  IIRC you caused a lot of trouble not too long ago.  It doesn't sound like something I would want to support.

QBasic is the only one of those that is a programming language.
And QBasic shouldn't be called a language anymore.

VisualBasic is a language. QBasic is a script. QBasic is never compiled. (You're thinking about QuickBasic, QBasic was free with Windows 95)

Why can't languages be interpreted?  Are you saying that Perl isn't a language?

QuickBasic and QBasic are the same language.  Microsoft's "QBasic" was short for "QuickBasic."

Also, a QBasic compiler was freely available that used the same development environment as QBasic but provided EXE generation.

Quite correct. Bad english reading on my part, sorry. :)

I don't know VB or Qbasic but from what I've read Qbasic hasn't been supported by Microsoft since Windows 2000 came out and Visual Basic is one of the most popular languages out there. No one ^important uses Qbasic anymore. :P
