Looks pretty neat. I'm logged on as newbyx86@gmail.com if anybody wants to talk.

I think this says it all:

QuoteIt's become terribly trendy these days for people that want to seem cool
to obsess about every single thing that Google does -- even if it's as
mundane as setting up a Jabber server.

I usually don't like google stuff, only thing that is ok is the search engine and Gmail.

Trillian. Use Trillian.

I should write a Google talk plugin for Trillian?

There already is one.  Also, my gAIM doesn't like Jabber (it doesn't connect), so odds are I won't be using this much.

You don't need a plugin. http://www.google.com/support/talk/bin/answer.py?answer=24077

I think Googletalk is just a less bloated version of Skype, and I like it.  (I love the incomming call ring tone. :))

I thought that Skype had a nice GUI myself. It was nice and graphical and relativly easy to use. No Complaints.
