Mmm, ultimate edition.
Hah! Microsoft got creative. :)
Neat! Thanks, Newby. :)
Yeah, Ultimate here too. Hopefully its not as expensive as I think its going to be.
What a bunch of fucking fools. No one is going to want to pay for an OS only to have it crippled. Its comparable to trying to sell Half-Life 2: Uber Lame edition which only has the cut scenes and no game play or such. When making different editions you're suppose to add things that people want to make better editions and not take away things people want to make worse editions. Leave it to Microsoft to fuck it up.

The best operating system ever offered for a personal PC, optimized for the individual. Windows Vista Ultimate Edition is a superset of both Vista Home Premium and Vista Pro Edition, so it includes all of the features of both of those product versions, plus adds Game Performance Tweaker with integrated gaming experiences, a Podcast creation utility (under consideration, may be cut from product), and online "Club" services (exclusive access to music, movies, services and preferred customer care) and other offerings (also under consideration, may be cut from product). Microsoft is still investigating how to position its most impressive Windows release yet, and is looking into offering Ultimate Edition owners such services as extended A1 subscriptions, free music downloads, free movie downloads, Online Spotlight and entertainment software, preferred product support, and custom themes. There is nothing like Vista Ultimate Edition today. This version is aimed at high-end PC users and technology influencers, gamers, digital media enthusiasts, and students.
Nice, its going to cost you an extra $100 so you can buy an edition of Vista that will let you turn off all of Microsofts lame services so you can actually use your CPU power to play games instead of sending back your personal info to Microsoft. Someone needs to slap whichever fucking genius came up with this marketing plan.
Don't forget the system requirements article on Slashdot.
And in an attempt to move everyone to Vista, within the next year or so microsoft will drop XP support completely, if some of these idiots need to talk to a MS tech via phone, its gonna cost them 200$/hour.
Monopoly.. dang no! we just be bidnezz men.
Well, if your were greedy, lazy and the such and just out there for the money, how would you do it differently?
Linux ftw.

Retirement Home Crippled Edition (kekeke...that has a nice ring to it) will probably be about $7.
Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate. Microsoft can't count either LOL!
On a side note, I pick... SLACKWARE!
Microsoft is also planning both a Small Business Edition and an Enterprise Edition
You can't either! LOL!

Doubtful.
Microsoft finds new ways to piss me off every day. I'm not wasting $500 fucking bucks to download some piece of shit operating system that has a system requirement of more than what I have, it's stupid. "HEY LETS MAKE AN OS THAT REQUIRES NEW COMPUTERS FOR ALMOST EVERYONE LOL IT WILL BE KOOL AND COMPANIEZ WILL PAY US LOTZ FOR IT!" must have been what was going through the CEO's mind when he told he dev team what to make Vista like.
Also, Vista is a fucking gay name.

Also, Vista is a fucking gay name.
It means "Sight" (roughly translated), as in a sight for sore eyes, or we just passed by a beautiful sight. Spanish.
I know what Vista means, it's just a gay name. :P I actually payed attention in spanish, myndy!
WTF?! LIES! Nobody pays attention in Spanish.
Anyway, the system requirements may as well be changed to "Trust us, you don't have a good enough computer. Go get a new one."

That's the idea behind making Vista. It's a marketing plan.
They're going to make an OS that requires people to buy a new computer, and then people have to buy/build a new computer.
Do you see who's making out in this deal?
Everybody (computer (part) manufacturing companies && Microsoft) but you. :P
