I noticed something odd while playing Starcraft missions this week. I was able to get some bulidings irradiated. Has anybody seen this before?
You can view it on OSPAP (woo!) here:

Plus, I'll be a jerk and link them inline for convenience:

Im sorry, but I dont see any pictures.
Hmm, did you try clicking the link?
2 questions: what version are you playing, and how did you do that?
I recall a previous bug that was patched, it went somthing like: irradiate a drone right before it spawns a building and that building gets infected.
I'm interested in this please elaborate on how you got to this point.
That's on version 1.13e, fully up to date.
You're exactly right, irradiate right as it's being built. The goddamn computer kept irradiating my drones, which was really a pain, but a couple times (3, actualy) it managed to stay irradiated.
just out of curiosity but, which mission is that?
Brood War -- Zerg -- 8
Thanks dude, I wanna play StarCraft now.
Hit me up for a game i'll check in on USWest Server, I have better lag on Eastern realm though so we might wanna goto East (I have dial-up [soon to change i'm moving into town with cable acess]).
Lag isn't caused by what server you're on, games are totally peer-to-peer. All that matters is who you're playing with.
And no thanks @ gaming, I don't play online anymore.
Then why do I have 2k on East, 3 yellow on West, and 4 yellow-6 red on Europe/Asia? I'm not playing, the download for patch turned me off and I gotta go soon.
Because the chat servers aren't where you play games. Whether or not you have high ping on the chat servers doesn't matter when you're playing a game.

That ping is how long it takes for a packet to go to you and back to the server, that doesn't effect gameplay unless your playing D2 on closed.
Because that's your ping with the B.Net server. Once in a game, it switched over to peer to peer. (Or is it server-client as well ;O?)
Edit: Shit two replies while I'm typing :(
I see. Interesting.
Then elaborate on the fact you're still transferring files over to an Asian in Asia, and the game is noticibly more laggier for me, a dial-up user, on Asia then East? Blizzard recommends connecting to your closest server I think and I just always thought that was why, because of areas-of-download (like it takes longer to get from Korea to Holland then Europe to Holland).
Yes, if everybody on the europe server is from europe, that is true. But often, people just play on whatever server their friends are on.
The difference between useast and uswest in terms of lag probably makes no difference.
for me it does :P
i get 15-31 ping(regularly) on uswest and 79-107 ping on useast
Did you read the topic mangix?
i was replying to iago's second comment on his last post :P
Let's say: My friend and I go on to Europe. We both have 200+ ms pings when in the B.Net channel.
We go into the game, and amazingly there's no lag. Why? Because I'm connected to his computer and he's connected to mine, without first going to europe.battle.net. :D
