I need to move some stuff around today, including my computers. They'll be down briefly at some point. I don't expect it to be more than ~5 minutes.
Done and done. Pie is still offline, since I don't have enough power outlets in the other room, but I don't care about getting him up fast.
iago is fast. :)
I hardly even noticed, hehehe.
I noticed some downtime a bit ago but eh.
We need to talk about some of the fixes you are doing, by the way, so come online for a chat once in a while ;)
I noticed like, right away.
Five minutes my ass!
Quik your avatar croaked. Get a spiffy linux one like mine =).
But seriously, iago, get on AIM, because I'm bored and want to say hi many times over.
Site seems a little faster, not by much though.
I moved the computer to a different room is all I did, so I doubt it'll speed it up any. Although technically it's going through about 90ft less cabling, but that won't make any noticeable difference.
Anyway, I have to move it again, to yet another spot. Expect some more downtime in about..... 30 seconds. For maybe 5 minutes, again.
Is it back ;O? I think it's back...
yes, it's back. It's in my basement now. The progression of my computers was:
- Computer room for a few months, but they made me move it
- My bedroom for probably a year, but I got tired of all the room they took (2 computer + a monitor, keyboard, mouse)
- Computer room again, for a couple hours (I was intending to leave it there for a couple weeks, while my room was transformed)
- Downstairs, in my sister's ex-room. I tied the wires tight, so they aren't tangled up. It is pretty neat, and this should be a semi-permenant solution
Incidentally, I also hooked Pie back up. He's also downstairs. I'll take a picture eventually :)
Sweet. Come to think about it, I've never seen either of the two computers I use on a day-to-day basis =p
