Cecil is in jail for five years for killing some hikers. He decides he wants to tunnel out.
He has very little to work with, however. He has a spoon, a fork, and a toothbrush. He also has to worry about disposing of the dirt. First, he has to get the bricks out. It takes about 1 month (30 days)/brick, using the fork. Then he has to dig through 100 feet of earth. If he removes 12 bricks, it take about 18 days to dig through each foot of earth. If he removes 25 bricks, it takes only 14.1 days to dig through a foot. In addition to the digging, he also has to dispose of the dirt. For each foot he digs, he spends 7 days disposing of the dirt.
How many days will it take Cecil to get out of jail?
365*5
Yep! :)
And btw, when I created this, I pulled all those numbers out of my ass. Then I did the math for both routes, and they worked out to within 10 days of each other, and were ~7 years, right where I wanted it! That was amazing luck, I just had to add 0.1 to make the two paths equal, to add a little extra confusion :)
Wasn't this kind of like the Count of Monte Cristo?
No. He just tunneled to another cell. It's retarded to tunnel off a sheer-cliff island.

But... it worked in the movie T_T
IIRC, I loved that movie. :)
My Computer Engineering teacher has a book of riddles sort of like this. iago seems to be using Cecil in the way that other book uses Shadow. Btw, Sideshow Bob > Cecil.
I actually made up this riddle from scratch. I rock :)
Trick question; Cecil is dead. (see other riddle)
This happened before he died. DUH!
