I honestly couldn't say how much I would use it, but I'd sure as hell be willing to give it a try! I love talking to people about WoW.

Well, I have my hosting plan and domain, which I don't really use. Since I'm getting into WoW more and I know that a lot of people play it, I figured I'd offer to host a site dedicated to WoW. I / we would need a good amount of moderators ( 4 - 5 ) if we wanted it to be decent. Come January, I will have plenty of time due to the fact that I graduate in January and will only be working ~39 hrs per week and it will be all mornings :P

I definitely wouldn't mind being a moderator.

If we can get a community going that would be awesome, ask around your guild, or just people you know if they would be interested in becoming a part of the forums.

While I do agree it's probably the best community for WoW, I'll also state that it's the most frusturating to use. There are a lot more member using it, so chances are you're going to run into a lot of people you "butt heads with." Additionally, I can't log in most of the time and they're generally slow as hell.

I've been looking for a theme for the forums ( SMF ), should we go: Dark, Light, Colored ( Red, Green, Blue, etc. ) or try and find a WoW theme?

Personally, I really like the default theme on these boards (Mercury, I think it's called). I'd vote for it or a WoW theme. That's just me, though :)
I would love to join a forum about wow for tech support and all that goodness. Anyways I would love to help you moderator and get codes to help you out. I suggest a IPB becuase there more user friendly then most boards. Dont get a php they suck balls.

Personally, I think SMF's the best one I've used.
I like the cleanness of SMF much better then any other. :)
Yeah, definitely SMF, I've got it installed, now the slow process of finding or getting someone to make a theme, and finding a nice layout for the boards.

Until I can find a WoW theme, I found a pretty clean theme I think I am going to use called Themis

There should probably be boards for quests, each class, instances, etc.
I think following the WoW forum structure (on Blizzard's website) would be pretty helpful here. Just throw in some of your own ideas, hehe :)
I've tossed together a set of forums to show the basic layout of what I was thinking of doing, I would like to add a board for professions also, among a couple more misc. boards I've got in mind. Tell me what you think of the layout.

That's a nice, clean skin, yet its too bright. I'd rather use a black-based skin than a white-based.
Time for me to throw in a personal suggestion. vL's old skin. Not the new image-based one. I don't know if they did that theirself, but its exactly what I was saying earlier, a black-based version of the SMF skin.
I'll see what I can do about getting the skin files from them.

However, you know you can have more than one skin so that everyone's happy, right? I think you should have a dark SMF skin and a light (default) SMF skin.
Dark. Make it an option though (be able to be changed for the user).

[Update] Both the Alliance and Horde based boards are up, and the professions board is up!

I wiped the forums and installed the e107 portal system, installed a WoW theme and will be dedicating the site to WoW :D

I have a myg0t friend I play WoW with a hell of a lot these days, any rules of my bringing him to the community? (Not x86, the one we're talking about now.)
He's mainly one of the only g0t's I trust with anything.
There's not much of a community yet, since I have so little time to work on the site in general, but I don't see why it would be a problem.
