I understand that the left picture is from an advertisement, but where did they get the right image? Who posted this first? Unless it was someone inside the advertising company that put it there as a joke and then showed the public, I doubt this is real.
The right is a blown up image of the left. The actual screenshot on the box (and expanded on the right) is taken directly from a scene in The Matrix.
I'm not sure who originally found it, but I know it was posted on a mailing list by Fyodor.
So someone found the scene in the Matrix where they use Nmap, screenshotted it, compared it to this (where the original ad maker did the same thing) and found them to be the same, then pasted them together on the same image and propagated it along the internet?

I would assume so.
Since there's a chair in that box, I'm sure that the box is big enough to actually read the text.
