I had to install Windows98 on my grandpa's computer (it wouldn't even load Linux, it would crash because of a paging error *shrug*). I don't know if it's SE or not. All I know is the cdkey on the box doesn't work.
Anybody got a spare copy of Windows 98 they can sell me for $0? Perfectly legal, since you'll never use your key again, I'm sure! :)
Either PM, or Email, or post here, or whatever. I'm hoping *somebody* will have the key that matches the version I have :)
one of my old computer has windows 98... ill try to dig up the cd key when its convenient :)

I just happened to have my cdcase for my win98 discs on my desk... right infront of me..
If those don't work I can hook up my MSDN CD-Key for Win98. :P

They all work... for different versions, which is why I put them all. :)

"Windows 98 for PCs withought windows" (Not SE)
Awesome, I'll try all those when I get home.
The problem is, the original cd is destroyed, all I have is a burnt copy. The the copy kinda says SE, but the SE is kinda crossed out, so I'm not really sure if that was intentional :)

Expected a "peace out" after that.
Bah, it won't boot now. It gives me a disk error whenever the harddrive is plugged in. If I unplug the harddrive, it's a different error, and if I put in a different harddrive, it's the same error. So the problem is with the controller. It has to be something on the motherboard. So I give up..
Blame Microsoft anyway. :)
How big is the HD? How old is the box? Poke (http://forum.valhallalegends.com/index.php?topic=13619.msg138873#msg138873)
The harddrive is somewhere around 2gb, and it worked yesterday. I changed nothing.
