Title: Notification of Possible Absence
Post by: Sidoh on December 18, 2005, 03:52:35 AM
I'm leaving for Jackson Hole, Wyoming tomorrow.  I'm heading there for a family vacation until Thursday (or so I've been told).  I'm unsure of the types of internet access that'll be available when we arrive, but I'll update, if it's possible.

Guess who's back...

HERRO!

Okay, I suppose I have to tell a story since I'm back and everything.

We went on this snowmobile tour.  That was a lot of fun, but I was injured! :(

The tour guide led us to a meadow where he said we could "play around."  I was going about 35 mp/h and I didn't see this hill.  I flew over it--let's just say when I hit the bottom, the law of conservation of momentum wasn't broken.  My face flew into the handlebar and broke the helmet.  My lips swelled up so much it looked like I'd gotten a Botox injection. :(

My bottom lip is bruised pretty badly now, but it's healed really nicely, all things considered.

Oh well, it was still pretty fun.  We have a time share down there, so it makes the stay a bit more comfortable.

Looks painful.

It hurts, but it was worth the fun.  I didn't bother to ask my parents how much the tour was, but I'm guessing it was around $200/person.

I ate (not literally) a large chunk of my lip at a concert when I got slammed in the face last year. I feel your pain.

Haha, yeah. Think of getting a lip piercing, except really big and using your own teeth. But adrenaline is a funny thing, I didn't really notice the pain until my mouth was filled with blood.

I have had cuts in my mouth for over a year, constant tooth aches, and they also feel loose.  You lose, good day, sir.

That's what you get for trying to brush your teeth with a belt saw.  I told you not to do that.  You were warned.  YOU lose, good day, ma'am.

But seriously, pain is a relative thing.  To me, it hurt really bad.  I don't really care what you think. :P

Hahaha, that reminded me of when Tom Wilson (Biff from Back to the Future) did stand-up at the Improv out here a couple weeks ago.  He's all, "Is it wrong to say, 'Merry celebration of Christ's birth, JEW.'?"
