Yes. iago upgraded to SMF 1.1RC2.
Tell us if you notice anything broken/horridly different. Otherwise, enjoy. :)
One new thing that this comes with is a new "default theme" (not Mercury, the forum default, but the forum software default) so if you're unhappy with the current themes, check it out. It's pretty nice. :)
It feels much faster, so far. Yay!
No it doesn't... I slit my wrsts already :(
Seems faster to me. I fixed the double smiley issue, too.

agreed.
a bit of a problem with the insert quote option while replying.
Same speed here as far as I can tell.
Yes. Insert quote in topic summary is broken to me and you, but iago says it works? Damn Canadians. :P
He blames Windows.
Huh ?

I don't understand what you're saying...
But I see Calendar!!
Must be a problem in Winders.
And yes, I enabled the calendar. Enjoy. :)
I thought the forums got hacked when I was asked to login. :P
Damnit, we could have played another prank!
The new theme looks great except for some white on Gray I'm not liking too much.

I love the new theme. But, since I have to comply with the needs of the members, I use the default theme incase someone has a problem. :)
I use the old default theme... I'd use the new one if it wasn't for that blinding white on grey :P You guys can fix that right :O ?
Btw, Modify inline looks amazing.
I was curious as to why I had to log in.
The only visible change I can see from the little looking around I've done before this thread is the addition of the "modify inline" button, which is useless. Either use that feature for the "modify" button or not at all, it's just more crap. Damn them designers, damn them.
I am currently using the old YaBB SE theme, and have been since these forums started.
The modify inline lets you edit things quicker. There are some features left out from it that are in the full modify. Same applies for the Quick Reply.
On the mercury, all the buttons on the post are outlined. Eww. :(
Insert Quote works for me (Firefox, XP SP1)
iago said I was the first back. I'm the leet troll. :)

It uses AJAX, which is fairly experimental and doesn't support all browsers. I'm glad for them keeping it in there.

Or, instead of bitching, you could be helpful and fix the .css, then send me the new one. FireFox has a handy plugin (Web Developer) that lets you edit/save locally the .css for the current page. Feel free to send me a fixed version of the .css file.

/me gives iago a big happy "YOU ROCK" look.
Hm. This new skin is sexy, too.
That's caused by the way the skin is setup with the CSS: "margin: 1px 2px 1px 1px;" is part of the style parameter for all of those images, and the a:link CSS has "color: #000000". That margin gives a border. iago, this is up to you to fix.
I think this topic is mislabeled... It should be "Updated Forum Software"... it's not new :) ?
The "Last Post" icon is missing on "Mercury"

I don't think it's supposed to be an image. I noticed that, too. Hmm...
What rabbit said was pretty much true. I'd have to manually edit the skin files themselves.. and unless you're willing to give me access to /forums/, or admincp access, that ain't happening without lots of hard work pointlessly spent on my part.
Had a problem logging in... clearing cookies fixed it, though.
Forum Wrongdoing!
The blue button next to threads with new posts doesn't work.. I've read through every post except the newest one in the thread, I click the "new" button and it doesn't work.. but then I go to it from the main forum index where it lists all the forums and newest topics and go from there and it works.

Hmm. What theme? I know Mercury is horribly butchered in terms of prettiness/features after the upgrade.
I highly recommend switching off of it until one of the administrators fixes it/upgrades it/SMF 1.1 comes out and fixes it. I'm on the new theme and I love it.
Apollo.
I liked Mercury, but I almost like this new theme better. :)

Wow, you sure changed your mind fast from not wanting it. But I guess that's a trait of yours, eh? :P
<edit>
I'm not a big fan of it. My main problem is how child boards are way too obvious (I don't WANT them to be obvious, that's why they're children!) and that the icons on the left of the main page suck. But I dunno.

I dont see much difference...
I don't know Towelie.. many people noticed changes in the loading time of larger topics.
Personally, I've noticed a huge difference in page loading times.
Sweet! Chinese for display names :D
How do you post an event without making a topic :( ?
What the hell Ergot? That name sucks. I can't read and/or pronounce it.

No, he put a newline between my name and "link=topic=blahblahbalh" crap. I took the liberty to fix it. :P

Here's one. Not exactly a bug but a stupid feature.
