I got some Nappa Valley Wine that is 14% alcohol, would any alchys here consider that strong, how much do you think would give you a pleasent "2 beer" like buzz?
There's a such thing as a 2 beer buzz? :/
14% is a normal strength for wine. A standard-sized glass of that wine would be the same as a standard-sized bottle of beer.
How exactly do you know that, just wondering.
No, that's not at all strong for a wine, actually a bit light for Napa Valley. Napa has some of the best reds in the world, what kind of wine is it? I went on a wine tasting trip with my parents. We started in Sonoma and worked out way up the Napa valley. People up there are cool, they let me have a sip or two of all the wines, and they were pretty good. I really don't have any favorites since I didn't remember any names, but some were much better than others.

Wow cool, I know its pretty cool when people are tolerant and let you do things special you may enjoy.

The key-word in that thread is "abuse".

If you're referring to me, I worked at a beer store for 2 years, so I'm rather familiar with alcohols. And around here they have commercials about "a drink is a drink is a drink" -- a beer = a glass of wine = a shot of spirits, approximately.

Yea... they better be tolerant. They make their living growing grapes and selling wine. They'd be screwed if they weren't nice to you :\.

Really, I enjoy a good drink too, what's your favorite spirit?
One of my favorites is Cognac, good stuff to drink in front of the fireplace Christmas morning, heheh.

I'm not a fan of spirits. But my favorite drink is GingervAle :)
I'm not a big spirits fan either but I recently had Disarono (spelling?) and I must say, it is excellent! Surprisingly not too sweet for my taste (a rarity).

Disaronno*
yeah, I like the way the sugar tastes in that. My personal favorite of Italian liquor would probobly be Tuaca though, its a vanilla flavor with a bit of cinnamin and spices. +recommend
