Title: Need a few working addons.
Post by: Screenor on January 07, 2006, 05:59:31 PM
Alright, here's what I need:

(1) Winamp plugin for WoW, or generally, anything that'll allow me play music under the WoW GUI so I don't need to alt+tab to change the song.

(2) Some kind of plugin that'll simplify me being able to see what's in my inventory a bit (as seen in this (http://www.dark-wire.net/screenor/everything/Videos/Movie.wmv), a video I'm working on). I don't want to have to leave my bags open to see my money.

The only reason I don't use google is due to most probably not being updated, and/or harmful to my computer. Thank you if you can give some links.

You're right for not using Google. This search (http://www.google.com/search?q=World+of+Warcraft+Winamp+Plugin) scared me in terms of effectiveness.

EDIT -- I hate to do this, but give MSN's results (http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=World+of+Warcraft+Winamp+Plugin) a try.

Please, not mods that require an appilcation file to install. I just want to put the files in Addons and be done. :(

Ometh N Mod is amazing.  The stuff they've done with the auction house is so good that it has the potential to ruin the player-based economy.

Blaze: I tried it, but I couldn't get the fuckin bar with the actual info I need on the top of the screen. Otherwise it's a pretty nice addon...

FYI:  Ometh N Mod is a collection of addons.  I'm not sure how many it has, but it's a lot.

The bar you're talking about is a mod called TitanBar, I'm pretty sure.  Try messing around with its settings (you might have to find its directory in the addon folder and look at the readme).  It should have some "slash" commands to open configuration windows and such.

Yeah, I disabled nearly everything, a lot of it I find un-needed, some is useful though.

To be exact, Ometh is over way over 48MB (WoW's limit) so you have to disble like a third of the addons before it'll work.

So fucking stupid.  Blizzard tries to blame all of their problems on people using AddOns.  Someone needs to make a patch for that, it's fucking stupid.

Well it was a change they made in the last patch.  I logged in and the game immediately closed saying that I had too many addons.  It's a pretty safe assumption, seeing as they always try to blame certain types of "unexplainable" issues on AddOns.  While it is quite possible, they never consider the possibility of their own software being buggy.

If you're ever have any lines and crap go across the screen, turn off it all by alt+z, if it fixes it, its your UI mods, or.... how blizzard uses them. :)

Alt + Z hides the interface, I use it all the time for taking screenshots.

Yeah, and when you hide it anf if the lag goes away, its the mods!
