Yeah. You know, when you don't have a class. We aren't required to be in school then, but eh. Today I walked to Charlies house, played The Sims with him on hix XBox for a while, then we walked down to church and said hi to Craig. Then on the way back we stopped by Dairy Queen and bought some bacon double cheeseburgers!
We got back to school, and a bunch of people were outside, so Abbie, Hillary, and Lainie (those names are for Scr33n0r! xD) all started walking back downtown. Of course, Lainie (who is also a Jesus freak! woo!) forgot her coat, so her and Hillary went back to school. Me and Abbie kept going, so when we got down to the square we just walked around for a while. She went to some coffee place, and I went into Just Imagine, which is a place with a bunch of wacky stuff, like sillystring and waterballon slingshots (24 bucks, ew). I got some sillystring and a wacky sucker, and then we headed back to school.
We reviewed (hah, right) for Computer Literacy (we meaning me, Abbie had another class), and then had a 20 minute break. Right at the end, some idiot pulled the fire alarm and we all went outside. Then we all went back in, and took our exams. Then we left.
I have all 7 classes. I hate you asshat.
Phys Sci (Failed Class)
Study Hall (None)
Comp Prog (Todo)
Comp Lit (Taken)
Econ (Failed Class)
Comp (Failed Class)
Pre-Algebra (Failed Class)
If you fail the class horribly (IE, less than 64% on most grading scales), you aren't required to take the exam, because it'd be a waste of an hour and a half, roughly, which gives me two exams. =p
My schools non-semestered, so :)
Well, during finals week (next week) we are off Friday (teacher records day) and Monday is a full day. However, Tues-Thurs is half day with two exams each. Apparently I've been volunteered to drive these two sophmore IB girls I know to lunch on Tuesday (they volunteered me. haha.) Well, I don't really WANT to, they're pretty bitchy/snotty whatever and it's kind of annoying. But whatever, I think I'm going to just to make them shut up (they've been wanting to go to lunch for awhile.) But since it's a half day I have to take them to a REAL restraunt. I'm totally against making ladies pay, but I'm not paying for them since I aint gettin none (not that I'd want any from one of them haha.)
You're supposed to study for your next finals when you're done with your current ones. Duh.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU FAIL PRE ALGEBRA? ARE YOU RETARDED?
Joe. I'm going to put this nicely.
You need to try harder in school. It may not seem important now (even if it does -- you're still getting this speech), but you really need to think about your future. If you don't pull your head out of your... anus... you're going to be fucked later in life. You need to take summer school so you're not on the "5 year plan." Get someone to light a fire under your ass... do your homework.
Hahahaha. I sleep. :D
I am on a trimester schedual. But I normaly come home, feel like an idiot, post here to add the idiot-ness then brouse stealthbot.net and feel like a total retard. Then, I die inside. :) I also listen to like 17 hours of music.

Haha, that was great. I'd frame it and hang it on my wall, if Abbie hadn't given me the same speech on the way to Just Imagine today. =p
Hahaha. The kid in AP behind me pissed in a bottle during finals because the teacher wouldn't let him out. I just found out about it today. Hahahaha.

Yeah, I spend pretty much all my time during finals studying, or reading. I try not to waste my time, the last thing I want to do is fail something.

Man, when I was invigilating (supervising) an exam, I had to escort 4 or 5 different people to the bathroom. It's pretty awkward standing there, asking about how their exam is going and stuff. :)
It would have been more awkward sitting in a chair in front of them while they piss in a bottle..
sn00d. (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/209/20993.html)
I usually play Falldown or BustAMove :)
I'm not really too advanced in math, (Newby is further ahead than 95% of sophmores) but I passed Pre-algebra with an A in 7th grade. All 3 trimesters.
Snood is an awesome game. I used to play it on my computer, then I got it for gameboy (it was unimpressive), then moved on to better things (CS, WoW)

Those don't work on a TI-83
I wonder if they work on TI-85s.

The GPU's on those 85s are amazing. I'm so fucking jealous.

Apparently Juniors too, since I rock their socks.
Finals in mid-January?...
What type of class layout do you have?
Back in my day (heh) the semester began when school began & ended before Christmas break. What kind of asshat makes you go on break & then come back to take finals 2 weeks later?
I study for other finals after a final.
I have CS 110 (basically same class you're tlakin about Joe)...it sucks so I'm gonna do it online instead I think

What was your overall score? My fucking sucked. My math sucked hardcore, I'm only better than 51% of juniors. Of course everybody knows I suck+++ at math anyway, but I took my PSAT without a calculator. That sucked.

me too! I even had a 94% in pre-calculus this semester (well last) I gues that makes me 99% ?

Maybe in public schools... If you ask me, it's not that big of a deal, though. I really think anyone can pass any highschool-level math course if they try hard enough.
In some private schools, they start teaching Calculus in 5th grade. Relative to even the nation, you're probably around 70%. There are a lot of mathematicly based smart people.

Yeah, I haven't heard of any private schools around here that aren't HEAVILY Christian influenced (by heavily, I mean replacing fundamental classes with bible study). And by the way, 95% was just based on the number of sophmores that are in the math level of newby, which can't be much more than about 20 kids

That's around there. There are private schools all over the place that don't have any foundation formed on religion of any sort. Again -- you're basing the 95% on a class in a public school in California. Last time I checked, California doesn't do so hot in education (not saying you guys have bad schools, just saying that you have a lot of idiots there and that makes for less effort on school districts' and teachers' parts to increase the mathematics curriculum). I've met several individuals who were enrolled in Calculus III as a Junior in high school. That means they were taking Calculus as a Freshman, obviously. Frankly, I don't even find that very impressive. Until this year I probably would have, but I've discovered math is all pretty easy if you actually care about it. Calculus is easy, if you ask me.
I am by no means saying Newby's stupid; I'm simply stating that him taking a higher level math class doesn't impress me too much. I'm glad he's decided to at least try to apply himself. That, at least, is good. High school math is all easy, though...
And to name a specific non-Christian private school, the one aforementioned (literally starting to teach Calculus in the 5th grade) is located in Pennsylvania, if I remember correctly.
Ah, to live somewhere besides California. IMO the main problem with this state is that they set education standards way too low, and it is too late to raise them, which in turn creates ignorance and a new generation to do nothing for the state.
I understand what you are saying, if I were to be put in a school on the east coast, I'd be very far behind in math, probobly not even at a high school level. (Alg 2 = 8th grade in most of West Virginia) On the other hand, if I were raised on the East Coast, I'd be doing fine at a higher level of math. I don't like California, or this nations independant schooling system.

I took my PSAT without a calculator and got better than 92% of juniors. Overall was only better than 86% though because I suck at the stupid english parts.

Haha, yeah. Most kids that are taking "super advanced" math (Calculus 3) in high school have to take the courses at a college or online.
