Title: PC Gamer
Post by: deadly7 on January 27, 2006, 07:44:27 PM
Well, I was reading PC Gamer at my school today (I didn't know the library had PC Gamer, it was rox+).. and an article about WoW was on it, so I figured I'd post it.
PC Gamer's article was about a fourth a page long and on the porn found in WoW and how the female characters can remove all clothing.  I found it really funny to read because seeing horny thirteen year old kids do that stuff is really sad/pathetic, and sad/pathetic things are funny.

The "porn" is a skin mod made by a third party -- Blizzard is much smarter than to add "hidden" content like GTA: SA did.  I've seen screenshots of it.  It's pathetic anyone would even waste their time with it.

Actually...you don't NEED to use a mod, you can see the skins nude simply by replacing them with any random TGA file and converting it to BLP (I beleive that's how it goes, I read it a while back). Plus the mods just add hair and make the nipples bigger, so it sucks. :-*

Quotemod -- modification to a game, either allowing certain elements to be revised or completely modifying the whole game

That sounds like a mod to me.

However that's not my point, the fact is, Blizzard DID implent...tits, just you have to remove the certain something to...see them. ::)

I don't quite care what your definition of a "mod" is. My main means of the post was you don't need an actual third party made skin to see that sort of thing.

But you need a third party application or tutorial to modify the game's binaries.

Unless you know what you're doing.

Then you become the third party. :P
