Title: Annoyingly long signatures...
Post by: iago on February 08, 2006, 10:44:01 AM
I've been on a fairly slow/low-res machine this week, since my laptop has been getting its harddrive replaced since Friday (God only knows why it takes so long...).  Loading pages and scrolling down takes a noticeable amount of time.  There are some signatuers (Joe, Ergot, and Newby come to mind :P) that are so long that they are driving me crazy!  Y'all suck :)

And wtf, why are you having someone else replace the hard-drive? Have them ship you one if it's covered by warranty. :(

I removed the last quote from my sig, btw. :P

That's better! :)

And I replaced it on my own a long time ago, and just kept the shitty drive.  But my warranty isn't going to last forever and I want to get my crappy laptop back (running FBSD).  So I called them, and they said they could only warranty the laptop, not the drive (the warranty is for the laptop).  So fine, I swapped the crappy harddrive back into my main laptop and brought it to Best Buy.  The guy said it would probably be done tomorrow (Saturday).  Today is Wednesday.  that's 5 days, and they still haven't called.  What a jerkwad :)

Yeah, I've yet to find a firefox extension that blocks large blocks of text... the image ones work well though. :)

If you're hosting x86labs.org locally, then that will do nothing!

It's not that long...

I'll remove the IE logo... I've been meaning to do that anyway.  It gets replaced by another philosophy quote soon! :)

I like signatures, in general, until they take up a full page.

Because you still don't seem to have read the first post in this thread, can you go back and read it?

To summarize it: I have a good computer but it's in the shop.  So to speak.
