You have bad taste in music.
( Reference to the series of videos )
I respect other people's taste in music. I do, however, have a hard time respecting anyone who lives by their music to be different. But yeah, I used to like Simple Plan. Then my balls dropped.
Haha, just playing with you. :)
My Chemical Romance - Helena is a good song, IMO. I haven't heard any others.
I'd have to say that, amazingly, I've found a hatred for rap. Not Christian rap (infact, I like that over Christian rock), but Gangsta Rap.

That I listened to it for years, and stopped in a matter of months.

Alot of bands start out as "church related" to get venues originally and mediocre funding/support from the get-go. This doesn't really make them church bands. But I have to concur on the fact that "Christian 'rap'" sucks.

Look up some of the lyrics sometime. They're abstractly related to Christianity.

It's a pretty easy crossover. Just change the word "Jesus" to "Baby".

There are lots of bands like that. Deicide does it, but they kind of approach it from the other side. In terms of bands who talk about it in not such a "fuck God" way, Grave Digger comes to mind. The album "The Last Supper" is almost entirely about Christianity. The songs "The Last Supper" and "Divided Cross" are a couple examples. My favorite one, though, is Crucified. Here are some lyrics from Crucified (which I actually had trouble finding.. the first few sites were missing the first stanza, wtf?):
Quote
Through iron bars I see the cross
They built it upon the hill
They're sharpen the nails to pierce my hands
They plait the crown of thorns
Father tell me what went wrong
My whole life my faith was strong
Father tell me why should I die
This screaming mob yells crucify
My curse comes true I have to die
Why I am crucified
The walls around me cold and grey
Cramp my soul, nothing more to say
I gave my life for the human brood
But they've payed me in blood

Hehe, yeah. I'm somewhat confused, though. Is this song supposed to promote or demote Christianity? If it's the former, it's not very accurate, haha...
I don't think it's promoting or demoting it (is that even the right word? whatever :P). As far as I can tell, it's just about Christianity. They don't really put a positive or negative spin on it. It's not "I love God!" or "Fuck your God", just "I'm going to be crucified, what went wrong?"

I think so.
Quoteassign to a lower position; reduce in rank; "She was demoted because she always speaks up"; "He was broken down to Sergeant"
Yeah, that's kind of what I pulled out of it too. Most songs that promote Christianity are pretty informined / in argreement with the religion. This, obviously, is not. :)
As I said, I don't think it promotes or demotes Christianity, and I was using "demote" in the way that you meant it when I said that. :P

"BEANS" by "NIRVANA":
Beans, beans, beans
Jessie had some beans
He was happy, happy, happy
And he ate some beans
Naked, naked, naked
Sitting cross-legged
Naked, naked, naked
And he was happy, happy, happy
And he ate some beans
Wine, wine, wine
Jessie had some wine
He was happy, happy, happy
And he ate some wine
Beans, beans, beans
Daddy ate some beans
And he drank some wine
And he was happy, happy, happy
As he drank some beans

I seriously find it annoying when people do that. It's always seemed foreign and strange to me. It's not that hard to say "My friend ...". My friend always referes to his parents as 'mom' or 'dad' as in "Mom wants me to stay home tonight." I don't know, I just find that pretty annoying.
Lmao @ the McEmo thing.

.. You find "Mom" and "Dad" to be annoying? What else would you want your friend to call his/her parents? Just "parents", I don't know, that just sounds kind of weird to me. I think that it's perfectly fine and understandable to tell someone that your mother or father will not allow you to do something. You should know who they are talking about even without known your friends parents.

You have inspried me to change up the chorus from the song Just a Lil Bit by 50 Cent
Quote
All a Christian really need is a lil bit,
not a lot loveing Jesus just a lil bit..
we can head to the crib in a lil bit..
I can show you how I live in a lil bit,
I wanna unbutton your pants just a lil bit,
take 'em off pull em down just a lil bit,
get to kissin' and touchin' a lil bit...
get to lickin', a lil bit...
Would taht now classify as christian rap?
Omg, that would totally go Platinum.
