Note: Your phone's Bluetooth features and Bluetooth Class 1 power levels are not allowed for outdoor operation in France. To avoid unlawful interference with radio signals, do not use the Bluetooth features in France unless you are indoors.
WTF?!?
(This is from the manual of the Motorola RAZR phone I just ordered).
Lol, that's stupid.
Yeah, the FM broadcaster I bought are illegal in Europe. Different frequency bands are licensed in the US/Canada and other ones are licensed in other countries. Just because the 2.4ghz band is unlicensed in the US doesn't mean it's unlicensed in Europe. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just different.
Sorta like how power outlets are different voltages eh?
Ridiculous...stupid world, we alls need to get with the times

That is the problem, it's different. :D
Everything should be the same as the United States that way it would be easier on us when we travel. :D
There are more travelers from Japan and China than from the US, IIRC.

That's just because there are more people in those countries. :P

Because both sides are too entrenched to move. It would be a lot more expensive than buying converters, in most cases.
I'm not sure who used a different voltage first, but I would guess that the US did. They always do things differently :)
(Feel free to prove me wrong)

You're the one who made the claim. Back it up!

Both of the first electrical systems ever put into use (AC and DC) were both put into use in the USA first (in Manhattan and in Niagara). Thusly, Europe was the first to use a different voltage.

Why would acquiring technology necessarily entail "stealing" it? That's like the debate we just had about Microsoft and Apple: MS using Apple's UI widgets isn't necessarily "stealing."

Implementing other people's work, then, and not always giving them credit
