On July 7 in Winnipeg!
Slayer
Lamb of God
Children of Bodom
Mastodon
Nine Eyes Bleed
And tickets are only $45! That's the cheapest (big) concert I've ever seen here!
*hopes he gets good tickets*
Mmm indeed. I hate you.
Children of Bodom! ^_^
I've been listening to them quite a bit recently. :)
At times like this I curse the fact that I live in French Polynesia.

POSER
I hate you. Loser.
Most of those bands I wouldn't mind seeing live. :(
I've never heard of the last one. I've heard that Mastodon sucks, but I've never heard them. And the rest are awesome++.
Fuckin' A', man. I'm going to see that in Salem on the 15th of july! (assuming I'm not dead in a ditch, or out of fucking Oregon.)
damnit iago, that concert sounds like pwn.

I've seen all those bands live before. Assuming nine eyes bleed is probably a typo/misspelling of thine eyes bleed, which is one of those shitty hardcore bands, saw them at metalfest last year, they suck. Mastodon sucks but isn't bad live, I actually saw them when they played with slayer. Slayer rules, are pretty good live, and just rock in general. As far as live shows go, Bodom wins by far. I actually saw them play with lamb of god. Lamb of god is ok live, but they're live show went downhill after they stopped doing the wall of death during black label.
</metal guru>
ps. I belive I'm going too, but wherever and whenever it's here

Haha, sounds about right. I was trying to read it off of Slayer's site (www.slayer.net), but they used a font that made it nearly impossible to read. There should be laws against that.

If that was to happen, myspace would drop off the face of the planet.

And so would a lot of death metal bands (http://www.supremebrutality.com/fest/).

I can read MOST of those on the first go. But yeah, not all. They're losers.
And incidentally, I'm in the closest section that's not on the floor, in row 6. Not bad at all!

(it's possible that there will be a wider view angle, closer to behind the stage. Dunno!
The venue it's at here is all general admission, so no assigned seats, woohoo.
I prefer having a seat, then at least I know where I'll be :P
'tis the plan!

That's no fun. I spent all three days of metalfest last year right up front against the barrier, there's no way I would have been that close with a seat. And pushing your way to the front is easy if you show up even just a bit early.

Yeah, so far every concert where I've been to the floor and wanted to be close I've been to the front. Quiet Riot was easy, but I was at a huge outdoor concert last weekend and I was at the front for Cheap Trick and Twisted sister and some other crap bands. You're totally right that it's easy to get to the front if you try. Plus, I'm big enough that people don't try to move me :)
Slayer is good, havent heard of the rest. Wish I could go.

The real question is: Why the
hell did you go see Twisted Sister and Cheap Trick?
I like Cheap Trick!

Because they're both totally awesome.
My friend was romantically connected with cheap trick, so every time they're close she goes. And there's nothing wrong with them anyways.
Twisted sister roxors. <3 hair metal bands that can actually play their instruments.
Plus, it's just fun to watch Dee Snyder on stage. The guy's insane! :)
Do they even dress up any more?
Not usually, but they did at Summerfest.
I'd go and see them if Dee dressed up. I thought that he stopped entirley, though; after that cover of "Leader of the pack"
