I'm fairly confident the hindering issue would be software, not the computer. ;)

I still don't think there's a reasonable PS2 emulator.

The XBox-360 has a tri-core processor.  Those aren't on the market yet.

You now have a tri-core processor as well. Of course, it only supports eax, but keep typing.

That doesn't make sense....

A tri-core can run 3 threads simultaneously.  I think that's the only real difference.

With the hard drive, some hacking, the harddrive, and a bit of gusto, the PS2 makes a nice XBox emulator.  I'm pretty sure the PS3 will be capable of the same thing.
