Hokay, for the last two weeks I've been limited to my sister's computer, which means no gaming, no anything. Just chatting.
BUT NO MORE.
I am now on my new computer.
OLD SPECS:
1 gig ram
some shitty vid card
2 ghz
NEW SPECS:
2 gigs of ram
nVidia 6800 ( Would've got the 7800 but Sidoh told me 6800 was just as good. Saved me 100 bucks, what a pal. )
3 ghz processor
Very sexy case
850 bucks :D
Sold old comp to N00bie for 100 bucks and a monster.
Needed the monster because I was about to go to this challenge where we had to watch a HORRIBLE FUCKING HIOEuiUIGFdi;sdg movie .. One of those cheesy ones from Sci-fi for as long as we could. No sleeping.
Chupacabra Terror was the name, so naturally we called it Chupacabra Challenge. Was around the school within a week. 20 people started, three left after the first play of it because it was so bad..
..
Fifteen hours later it's down to me and John.
Five hours later I fall asleep. >_<!
So he got ~ 350 bucks, I got 50$ which is better than what I paid to submit to it ( 20 ). If I had only stayed awake another 4 hours ( which woulda made it 24 which was previously decided to be the end ) then we would split it and gotten around 200 each.
FUCK.
But my new computer is still here so I'm happy.

That's pretty much me with this box. :D I'll get pics as soon as I get a camera. WHICH REMINDS ME. My dad is being a bitch back in boonieville so I have no camera, and James' hair is already too long for it to be cool. D: So I guess seeing James go from Metal to Gay in just a few snips of the scissors is my memory to treasure.
Sorry for being inactive for the last month or so D:
Install Starcraft/Oblivion! Gogogo! :)
lolz I'll just stroke it for a while longer
WTFUX?! YOU SAID TUESDAY FAGGOT! I HATE YOU.
OKAY
Not officially ON IT YET.
24 hours? That's IT?
Wow, you guys pussied that competition up.
And you fell asleep? With that Monster?! Jesus CHRIST. :(
If I was there, I'da won. Easily. This isn't even a true 80s slasher/B film.
:(

That's not the point. The point is they claimed it was a slasher. I knew it wasn't seeing as how it was released last year and it was classified as sci-fi. :/
If this wasn't even slasher related you're right, I'd fall asleep in the first hour.
I think I need to have a slashfest or something, and show you guys slasher films++. :)
My next computer (it might be a while):
Dual Intel Xeons running at whatever the max speed available is at the time that I buy it, on an 800MHz FSB (I'll sacrifice CPU speed for the FSB).
8GB dual-channel DDR
Dual GeForce 7900 GTX (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1940511&CatId=0=) SLI/512MB GDDR3
about 2 TB of RAIDed hard drive space (the must-have for any pr0nz0r gamer).
Water or nitrogen cooling
802.11a/g/b
My current Microsoft Wirelless Optical Desktop set (it rox Newby's mom).
16x Dual-layer DVD+/-RW
Dual 32" LCD TVs (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1646804&Sku=N223-3200) to attach to my GeForces.
All in all, total pwnage. Hello, 500FPS Ironforge!
I thought Xeons were server processors. I fail to see the reason behind spending hundereds more on humanly indifferent performance increase. In my opinion, your money would be better invested in a high-end AMD processor, but you probably know what you're talking about. :P Mind explaining your reasoning, though?
I think he may have been joking... I think quad SLI is much better. ;)

Haha, I didn't take the time to read anything after the dual Xeon processors. The dual 32" TV's is a give away. -_-
LMAO myndy.

If I had the money I would totally go all out and get the dual 32". I mean just imagine, the chick you're watching would be life-sized stretched across the wall. ;)

Hrm, woman splattered against the wall.. You don't need dual 32" tvs for that, just dual glocks.

That's nothing. They want to stick a 140" TV in a "theater" room at a house my dad is currently looking at (he wants to switch houses while this one is under construction so it's cheaper to buy) and the room = amazing.
I think it would be cheaper, more practical, longer lasting and much easier to manage if they used a LCD projector in place of a huge TV.
A projector? Ick.
There seems to be no room in the back for a projector so I guess they didn't think that one through eh?

I don't know man. We've had some projectors here at the Library, and it died after only about a year of intermittent use (the bulb needs to be replaced, it's not that it's broken, just dim).

"Ick" as in you can't get one or as in you'd rather have a TV that's probably going to cost $10,000 (if you're required to analyze the price)?
I'm pretty sure you can buy projectors that have quality that matches that of TV's that get very large. My friend has one that projects an image onto a wall that's probably something like 104", and I must say that it's the highest quality home theater system I've seen.

The bulbs do go bad (and they are pretty expensive) relatively quickly, but they're far, far cheaper than buying a new 104" TV. The price discrepancy would persist long past the time it would take for the TV to require maintenance, I would think.

...unless you add on the like, $400 Best Buy insurance plan which includes free maintenance for a long time.

Those insurance plans aren't offered in those quantatities for all devices, I don't think. Besides, the longest one is what, 7 years? Given you might have to replace the bulb twice a year (which is pretty generous, seeing as the one we've used at school for three years has never had to have its bulb replaced), replacing the bulbs would amount to around $1,200, and that's without considering buying the bulbs in a non-individual manner.
