I'm saving up some money.. I don't have a whole lot, but we have a second-hand gaming/music store in town with fairly cheap prices, so it's no problem really.
Anyhow, the problem is.. which console to buy? I'm looking for one with some nice yet nonexpensive games. I was thinking of the N64 because the mario games kick pretty much every ass in the gaming world at once, but then again I'd like an XBox (non-360), for XBox Live and Gentoox.. speaking of which, can Gentoox and the normal XBox software coexist? How hard is it to install Gentoox?
Anyhow, what console do you guys think I should buy?
Sega Genesis is awesome.
You need a modchip for anything, and the modchips to allow them to co-exist with each other are a bitch.
I'm going for the old XBox, not installing Gentoox.
Who plays XBox Live? Plus what games should I get to play with you?
Halo2+Morrowind

If you buy a Sega DreamCast (and a better internet connection) you can download dreamcast .isos (iirC) and burn them to a disc and play them. They read the same CD discs as CD players.
PS2 + DVD burner + a hook shaped piece of cardboard = owned.
