Go see the original.
The new version of the movie has the following "improvements":
-Terrible acting
-A shot of the world trade center being hit by a plane
-Typical holywood "stuff jumping out at you for no reason" scares
-TERRIBLE ACTING, holy crap, that kid who plays damien needs to be flogged. And Julia Styles cannot act worth a fuck.
With all this in mind, go see the original. They tried an exact reproduction of a lot of scenes and much of the dialouge is taken verbatim. Totally not worth the price of admission (and I got in free, so that's saying something).
Sad to hear. Oh well. I was not expecting much.

I just got done seeing that.
I was cracking up during the entire movie. The scary parts were definitely not scary to me (but my cousin.. and some random chick behind me jumped). I laughed at the entire story. Especially the nanny. We love her!
Another group of people asked us when we were standing outside the theater "So did you guys think the movie sucked pretty bad, too?"
I responded "Of course." Man, it was terrible, but it was hilarious. Go expecting comedy!
