I feel sorry the cop though, he was only doing his job.
BTW I have tracked down alot of info about this; the murderer tried to claim insanity at his trial, saying the vietnam war messed him up, that he had a flashback, and I'm inclined to believe him, but the State of Georgia didn't, and he was executed.
